On Friday night in Phnom Penh, Clay George is at Craft, Virginia Bones of Geography of the Moon plays her sad bangers solo at Dina Gallery@Il Forno, Brooke Palmer funks up Tacos Kokopelli, Reya is at Botanico and Kevin Sysyn is at Cloud.  There are two debuts – DNA at Little Susie and Sonic Soundwave at Back Street Bar.  Later on, rocking hip hop combo Genjutsu follows The Lark at Oscar’s on the Corner.

On Saturday evening in Phnom Penh Frankie Teardrop Dead are at The Deck, The Broken Cymbal are at Back Street Bar and at LOLA Music Lounge it’s Acoustic Knights with Max Pires, Joe Wrigley and Sleepin’ TomMark Mosley is at Botanico and Mourin Terry is at Cloud, Virginia Bones is at Tropico, then Oscar’s band Bart-Psar goes late at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Siem Reap, Mad Monkey celebrates ten years of operation with Bless Tiglao, and the Siem Reap Soundlab featuring Simon Gilbert appears at Laundry.

Come Sunday, Mary & Takeshi are at the Phnom Penh Mad Monkey, The Vine presents solo sets by Virginia Bones and Marianna Hensley, the Sunday Sundowners open mic is hosted by Mike McCann at Tacos Kokopelli, Joe Wrigley is at Bar Oz and Gerry the Cosmic Joker is at Lost Bar & Grill.  Later Electric Muxu Orchestra return to their most-Sundays residence at Oscar’s on the Corner.

Local metal band After God have released a new music video and you can watch it on their Facebook page.

Things have been changing up in the weekly line-up at Oscar’s on the Corner.  Mondays are reverting to country music, with new outfit of familiar faces Clay George & the Riverside Kings bringing a mix of Clay’s original tunes and country standards.  Wednesday band blender has morphed by name, line-up and repertoire into Crash Boom Bang – while they take a three week break at the end of July they will be replaced by Fine Cottom.  Sundays will continue to be mostly covered by Electric Muxu Orchestra, with occasional substitutes.  Tuesdays with Temple, Thursdays with The Extraordinary Chambers, and Fridays and Saturdays with guest bands remain the same.
