In Phnom Penh on Friday Geography of the Moon are at Khmer Funk Sky Bar, Blues Brothers: James and Jamie are at Botanico and Kevin Sysyn is at House of Jazz and More.  Jay & John are at The Tin Hat, Alli G is at Distortion Dive Bar, Ben Etc. is at Cloud and Stu Cottom is at The Silk Route.  Later and louder Shake79 are at Oscar’s on the Corner.  On the coast, Breen & Salgado are at Paris Kep Restaurant and in Siem Reap Poca & the Sticky Tentacles are at Laundry and Kodi Hudson is at The Panthers Hut.

In Phnom Penh on Saturday Nestor & Poca are at The Deck, Brooke Palmer is at Botanico and Johatsu join Geography of the Moon at Noisy Chili.  Rags to Rainbows at Au Marche, Adam Marsland is at Little Susie and Rockustic are at Tropico.  Later Cambodia Country Band are at Oscar’s on the Corner.  On the coast the Monkey Republic 10th anniversary party features Kampot Playboys, while The Playful Minds are at The Wave: Kep West and Mr Zee is at The Bay.

Come Sunday, Geography of the Moon are at The Vine, Tacos Kokopelli hosts the Sunday Sundowners open mic, Rags to Rainbows are at Botanico, Stu Cottom is at Bar Oz and Sara Garcia & Antonio Elchico are at House of Jazz and More.  Later and louder, Shaken Spirit are at Oscar’s on the Corner.

The next live music weekend at Nesat Market on the coast will be held on 5 – 8 February, featuring Frankie Teardrop Dead, Johatsu and Drunk on Champagne.  Check out their Friends of LengPleng page for logistics and transport advice.

The Phnom Penh Songwriters Festival has announced a Refugee Relief Listening Room concert featuring Bin Daro, Sage, Mourin, Suwana Arcana and others on 31 January at Stories by Little Susie.

In February we are pleased to welcome back to Phnom Penh the duo Ritchy & Phil (Richard Boisson and Phil Javelle) with a series of shows at Bouchon Wine Bar, Cohiba Lounge Le Royal, Kanika Boat, La Coupole Sofitel and Bistrot de la Poste.

Book of the year: Around the Traps 2025

Now available is the seventh annual volume collecting the interviews and articles from LengPleng during the year.  This year’s edition includes interviews with Dengue Fever, Faith Quinoes, Rags to Rainbows, Clay George, Angkor Classique, Brooke Palmer and more – plus Passing Chords mini-profiles of many touring artists such as members of My Druthers, Chakra Shakers and Bullshit Boy, alongside newcomers like Ann-Shophie Douet, John Ryan, Brett Perkins, Ben Etc. and Sara Garcia, and old timers like Aymen Ghali, Paul Mackie and Katy Lo Wing.
