Greetings:

A big music event this week in Koh Kong – Wildlife Alliance is presenting a series of concerts featuring such Cambodian artists as Vichet and Meas Soksophea on Friday, Sunday and Tuesday; Phnom Penh will have its turn the following Sunday at Aeon Mall Sen Sok.

Meanwhile in Phnom Penh tonight, Stu Cottom is at Villa Grange, Ice & Dara are at Botanico and The Broken Cymbal are at Trattoria Bello.   You can find touring duo Loopy Reggae at Hideout, Hugo Marcellesi & Gaby Sometime at Samai Rum Distillery and Wazo & Co at Excelsior, and as usual The Extraordinary Chambers are late at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Kampot, Tiki Garden continue their new Thursday night jam session, and in Siem Reap Sokuntea & Andrey are at Villa D while The Exile are at Pasta La Vista and Bless Tiglau & Giuliano are at Harry’s & The Welsh Consulate.

Friday night in Phnom Penh, Three Country Drunks are at Craft, Green Leaf Motif are at Botanico, and The Broken Cymbal at The Box Office.  Mayari play Back Street Bar and Srey Ka & K’n’E are at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In the south, Kampot Playboys are at 1960 Restaurant and Marina & Carlos are at Kep Natural.

Perhaps it’s trite to suggest that there’s something for everyone on Saturday in Phnom Penh, but it speaks for itself – in particular there are a few big events – at Friends Futures Factory is The Future is She, a day of music, dance and art, featuring Mayari, Vartey Ganiva and more; at Treellion Park the Breathe Festival features multiple acts; next door at Coconut Park the night market offers Phnom Penh Vibes and Green Leaf Motif.  And then later there’s the Afterlife Band Fest with The Goldilocks Zone, Alli G & The Quillas, Faceslap ft. Metta Legita, Radioactive Death Monkey and The Visa Runners at Unforgettable Music Bar on St 322 in BKK1.  Elsewhere, Los Primos are on the roof at Aquarius , The Broken Cymbal are at Seekers Spirits, The Sock Essentials are at Sundance, while Kiss Bang Bong are at Perch, Chor Yee & Limkiang Sokyam are at Cloud and Khalil & Gerard are at Mayazon. Also notable is another farewell gig for Cambodia Country Band at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Kep, Christian Herve at Kep Natural, and in Siem Reap Dan Miles is at Arin’s and there’s jazz fusion noises from Sasha & Deprana Arcuata at Laundry.

Come Sunday in Phnom Penh, Clay George is at The Vine, there’s a concert at Raffles Le Royal – French art song in Romanticism – featuring YiLing Chiang and Issei Sakano; then Skin & String are at Back Street Bar and Joe & the Jumping Jacks are at Oscar’s on the Corner.
