It’s a warm welcome to Wild Flowers out of Portugal who are touring Cambodia this week.  Last night they were at Laundry Bar in Siem Reap, tonight Thursday  they’re at Copacabana and on Friday they’re supported by Penh Pals at Oscar’s on the Corner.  Check out last week’s LengPleng interview with the band – On the blooming road: Wild Flowers.

Elsewhere in Phnom Penh on Thursday find Stu Cottom at Villa Grange and The Extraordinary Chambers at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Kampot, Los 2 Hermanos are at Ariart.

Friday night in Phnom Penh, Phil Javelle is at Farm To Table, Arome Khmer are at Craft and Marianna Hensley and Brooke Palmer are at Tacos Kokopelli, while Jane & Carlo are at BotanicoCloud celebrate their eight birthday with a show featuring Joshua Chiang, After God and Reign in Slumber, while German solo-disco-Ramones-covers outfit RamonesOn45 are followed by Aisha & Serdar at Little Susie.  In Siem Reap, Rod & Chema are at Ubuntu.

On Saturday night in Phnom Penh The Extraordinary Chambers make a rare appearance outside Oscar’s as part of the craft beer fest at Palace Lane.  Meanwhile Green Leaf Motif are at Seekers Spirits and Ice & Elle are at Botanico.  Singer-songwriters Lewis McTighe and Rob Narciso go head to head at The Birdcage Boutique, while Mirasol, Gaby, James, and Hansley, known collectively as Mosaic, are at Au Marche, and Cory is at Little Susie.  Going late, Hugo St Leger’s band The Boys Are Back are at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Kampot, a busy Saturday finds Summer Lee Carlson & Mute Speaker at The Bay, George Town at The Pig Pen, and a first anniversary party for KAPAL featuring Kampot Playboys.

On Sunday in Phnom Penh there’s bluegrass jazz with The Nameless Trio at The Vine, Brooke Palmer at The Deck, the regular long-running Sunday Sundowners open mic hosted by Scott Bywater at Tacos Kokopelli, and The Originals sessions with Virginie, Lewis & Gary, and Andrea at Back Street Bar.  Going late is Electric Muxu Orchestra at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Siem Reap, there are open mics at Pomme, The Mended Drum and Duckmart, while Alli G plays JD’s.
