Greetings, and apologies for our no-show last week due to the coinciding of Khmer New Year and travels.

Tonight, Thursday, in Phnom Penh find the jazz jam with Dr George at The Deck,  Miss Sarawan at Samai Rum Distillery, Aisha & Ace at Little Susie, the open mic at Noisy Chili hosted by Muz Muskett, and Alli G is at Sabada.  Later and louder The Extraordinary Chambers are at Oscar’s on the CornerPoca & the Sticky Tentacles out of Siem Reap continue their Cambodia tour at Madi Bar in Kampot.

On Friday in Phnom Penh Sak-ti Tattoo Collective throw an opening party with M&J and Lola & the Zicos, while Brooke Palmer is at Botanico, Filipina duo Bulak Tala are at The Vine, and The Next Universe are at Meta House.  At Chew & Bash Mosaic featuring Mirasol Aguila and special guest Bennie BD Carter present a Whitney Houston tribute, while Mourin Terry is at Distortion Dive Bar and the blues of Chi-Town is at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Kampot, Poca & the Sticky Tentacles are at Monkey Republic.

On Saturday in Phnom Penh get in early for International Jazz Day celebrations with Giovanni Mirabassi (IT/FR) and Intan Andriana & Friends at Factory Phnom Penh.  Elsewhere the keyboard driven Ivory Express Trio are at The Deck, Rags to Rainbows are at Aquarius, Will Rosas is at Botanico and you can find the neo-soul of DVND at End of the Road.  Later there’s Latin with Poca, Chema, Andrey at Au Marche, ska with Checkered Past at Rukkha Sky Bar, while Ace is at Little Susie and Antonio Elchico is at Tropico.  Going late and loud are Poca & the Sticky Tentacles at Oscar’s on the Corner.  On the coast, Karona Chan is at The Wave: Kep West.

Come Sunday, The Vine, Sunday Sundowners open mic is hosted by Scott Bywater at Tacos KokopelliCassette are at House of Jazz and More and Poca is solo at Cloud.  For something different there’s Vienna Melange with soprano Maki Yoshizawa and accompanist Yi-Chi Lu at Raffles Le Royal, and for something louder find Shaken Spirit at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Siem Reap, cello & ukulele duo The Common Threads are at New Leaf.
