Greetings,

Tonight for Bastille Day, find French celebrations with Mirasol Aguila at Bouchon Wine Bar, Christian Herve at Cloud and Angkor Rat Pack at Villa D in Siem Reap.  Less French activities can be found with Gonzalo Rodino at Botanico, Graham Cain at Rukkha Sky Bar , and The Extraordinary Chambers at Oscar’s on the Corner, while in Kampot you can find a new interesting outfit called 4Riel at The Plantation.

Frenchness continues in Phnom Penh on Friday with a special evening Guinguette de la Fête Nationale featuring The Broken Cymbal with Christian Herve at Factory Phnom Penh (get in early, ticket sales are online only and are limited).  Otherwise, you can find Intan Andriana & Woody Dares at Le Vin, Boxchords at Cloud, Mini Pockets at Back Street Bar, Graham Cain at Duplex and K’n’E at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In the south, Karma Traders continue their new open mic with Nico Thoma, and Ant Colloff is at Kep Natural.

Lots of duos on Saturday night in Phnom Penh, with Kayron & Liz celebrating at Palace Gate’s 5th anniversary party, Alishy & Perx playing Craft, Nestor & Lily returning to Bouchon Wine Bar, and Intan & Alexey getting jazzy at Cloud. Further afield around town Graham Cain winds up his mini-tour of Phnom Penh at Sundance, Boxchords are at The Glasshouse, and Havana Nice at Duplex. Later, Kampot Playboys make a triumphant return to Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Kep, Andre Aguiar plays Kep Natural.

It appears to be video week – this very morning Joshua Chiang has released a video for his song Don’t Let Them Get You Down, featuring the Boxchords and some rather extreme wardrobe and choreography.  Tomorrow it’s the turn of Maki Orkestr, who will be sharing a video of their performance of Bella Ciao at the Secret Garden Concert earlier this year on their Facebook page and newly launched YouTube channel.

Also released this month is Rebirth, a new album (including singles Butterfly and Pathways with accompanying videos) from Audio Mainline, recorded in Cambodia and the UK and now available on Bandcamp.
