Do you have a pet musical hate/pet peeve?

Nothing musical comes to mind, but as a presenter for many years, I’ve grown weary of artists who tell us how we’re going to feel about their song before they play it: “This one is so sad/depressing/etc.”

A private musical indulgence:

I love well written and performed contemporary pop songs, which my soon to be 16 year old daughter keeps me appraised of.

The year you first came to Cambodia:

June 13-20, 2025 is my first visit.

An early music memory:

Going to my first concert at The Greek Theater in L.A. to hear Henry Mancini & The Pink Panther Orchestra with my mother and grandmother. The hit song at that time playing on the radio was Alone Again, Naturally by Gilbert O’Sullivan.

The last thing you had to eat:

Vietnamese pho here in Saigon.

Stagefright – yes or no?

No.

A country you want to visit:

Australia.

A book or movie you keep going back to:

The Hobbit.

What languages do you have?

American English and a basic comprehension of Danish.

Your primary instrument, and when you started playing it:

Voice, from before I could speak. Then acoustic guitar, age 14.

Something people might be surprised to know about you:

I was a Soul Train dancer for two seasons in the mid ’80s.

You have a time machine and a magic ticket to one gig or festival in the past. What do you choose?

The Beatles, Shea Stadium.

A question from the last participant:  Who would you most like to open for?

Paul McCartney, especially if we could harmonize together on a song.
