On a busy Thursday night in Phnom Penh, find Antonio Elchico at The Vine, the jazz jam with Dr George is at The Deck, and Aisha & JP Kotze at Little Susie.  The act formerly known as Electric Universe is augmented and reformed as The Next Universe at Meta House, and the open mic at Noisy Chili is hosted by Muz Muskett.  Later and louder, The Extraordinary Chambers are at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Kampot, Kampot Playboys are at Madi Bar and Chris Garcia is at Old Market Skybar, and in Siem Reap Kyle is at The Pizza Garden.

On Friday night in Phnom Penh, Jazz Sauce are at Khmer Funk Sky Bar, Adam Marsland is at Botanico, Ben Harrison is at Little Susie and Montra are at Oscar’s on the Corner.  On the coast the Jampot open mic at Karma Traders is hosted by Jon, and Kep Natural hosts an international jam session.  In Siem Reap, Dr Salad (Scotland) follow Drunk on Champagne at Laundry, while there’s jazz from Prokum Band at Heritage Suites.  And in Battambang, The Cyclo Minstrels are at Au Cabaret Vert.

On Saturday in Phnom Penh, Villa Grange presents an open mic hosted by Guit George & Johnny L, then later The Originals – Jazz Edition at The Deck features Cameron Smith, Raphael Biamonti and George Hess.  Elsewhere, The Polytones (DVND, Damani and Tom) are at Botanico, Planet Jazz Duo (Phil & Raphael) are at Vinoteca, Kim & Co. are at Velvet, Ace is at Little Susie and Loopy Reggae play their last Cambodia gig for this season at The Big EasyDr Salad (Scotland) play one last show with Drunk on Champagne at Motodop, while Lakhon Luong are at Distortion Dive Bar and Punch Drunk are at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Kampot, Matsumura Fishworks, George, Nevermind Nirvana, and Kampot Playboys play the Kampot Craft Beer Festival at Monkey Republic, while Arome Khmer are at The Wave: Kep West.  In Siem Reap, Rainy Season are at Wake Park Cambodia and Rod Tolentino is at The Panthers Hut.

On Sunday in Phnom Penh, there’s some chamber music from The Garden Trio (Sharon, Mariko & Mayumi) at Srornos Music School, while Intan Andriana launches her debut album, My Life In Jazz at Chew & BashStu Cottom and Adam Marsland are at The Vine, the Sunday Sundowners open mic is hosted by Scott Bywater at Tacos Kokopelli, Greg Beshers is at Botanico, Joe Wrigley is at Bar Oz and at Little Susie the open mic is hosted by Mike & Margie.  Later and louder, Shaken Spirit are at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Kampot there’s an acoustic night with Andrew at 1960, and in Siem Reap The Pizza Garden hosts an open mic with Andy.

Department of Let’s Try That Again

Angkor Wave (formerly Kampot Radio/Radio Oun) has nearly completed its relocation to Siem Reap, and will be relaunched on 1 April 2026 with a renewed committment to local and barang Cambodian music.  The first order of business will be the Top 40 Songs of All Time countdown fundraiser at Khmer New Year – nominations will be called for in the coming days and voting details released soon.

The first attempt by Intan Andriana to launch of her debut album, My Life In Jazz, was rained out and converted into a listening part; a rescheduled concert has been announced for Sunday 15 March, also at Chew & Bash.  For more information, including ticketing, click here.

We are pleased to welcome new Tuol Tom Poung music venue Motodop to the LengPleng family.  On Saturday night they host the last show of the tour by Dr Salad (Scotland) with Drunk on Champagne.
