At Raffles Le Royal this weekend, Phnom Penh International Music Festival presents a series of classical concerts with local and visiting artists.

On Thursday in Phnom Penh, The Busking Kings are early at Front Bar, then find Miserable Man at Botanico, Takeshi Trio with special guest Colin Grafton at Little Susie and later The Extraordinary Chambers at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Siem Reap there’s a mystery groove band at Villa D alongside Andy Luna at Pasta La Vista and Rod Tolentino at Fellini.  In Kampot Graham Cain is at Golden Time.

On Friday in Phnom Penh, Scott Bywater is at The Box Office, Miserable Man is at Botanico@Odom Garden, Intan Andriana & Metta Legita are at Le Vin and Grass Snake Revival are at Craft. Later on, Ng Elnarra & Phil are at Mayazon, Mourin Terry is at Cloud, visiting international artist (with little information provided) EFEX is at Hideout, and blender are at Oscar’s on the Corner to be followed by Srey Ka & K’n’E.  In Siem Reap, Andy Luna is at Anantara Angkor Resort, Mikayla is at Antonio’s Villa Hotel and Rod Tolentino is at AMBAR.

Saturday afternoon in Phnom Penh The Busking Kings are at Villa Grange, The Sock Essentials are at Penh 278 and Miserable Man is at Farm To Table, then Esther Mao & November Band are at Craft and Phil O’Flaherty is at Botanico. Sam’s is hosting Samstock #2 , across the road Spiked Gravy go acoustic at Sunset BoulevardMiss Sarawan join Miserable Man at Seekers Spirits, The Broken Cymbal are at Perch and Srey Ka & K’n’E are late at Oscar’s on the Corner.   In Siem Reap Those Handsome Devils are at Arin’s.

Many LengPleng readers will know that Chris Bean, a character on the Phnom Penh music scene for many years, has passed away this week.  An effort to raise funds for his cremation is currently underway – donations are being accepted at Front Bar on St 118.
