What is apparently festival season in Cambodia continues this weekend in Siem Reap, where 60 Road Festival at 60 Road Studios features Japan Guitar Shop and Batbangers and DJs.  Coming up later this month is Slam City Asia 2024, a grand two-leg metal festival in both Siem Reap on 15 March and Phnom Penh on 16 March with a truckload and a half of regional and local loud bands – see our article from last week with Mia Priest and Chihiro Amatsu.  The same weekend PepperFest in Kampot offers a range of Kampot and Phnom Penh acts.

Also coming up, and requiring advance ticket sales are two Phnom Penh musical boat cruises – the last jazz cruise for the season on 16 March with Intan Andriana & Friends [Crocodile River Cruise] and on 23 March, Geography of the Moon and Japan Guitar Shop hosted by Tacos Kokopelli.

This Friday night in Phnom Penh find Miss Sarawan Trio at The Waterside, Danny, George & Gaby playing Danny’s original compositions at Craft, Muxu at Farm To Table, and Vartey Ganiva at Back Street Lounge in Tuol Tom Pong.  Also visiting New York singer-songwriter Aldvvin is at Botanico, The Busking Kings are at Tacos Kokopelli and Loopy Reggae Duo are at The Tin HatBellini present an opera night with Ai Iwasake, Misato Nakaishi and Issei Sakano, and Intan, Mirasol, James, Jedil & Sharon team up for an International Women’s Day Concert at Le MoonThe Broken Cymbal are at Big Mama, the Aisha & Serdar band is at Little Susie and Penh Pals are at Chez Cri Cri.   Cloud has an acoustic battle hosted by AlliG, Green Leaf Motif are at Voodoo Boulevard and Bob Passion & the Indispensables go late and loud at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Siem Reap, Sokunthea & Giuliano are at Fellini and Japan Guitar Shop are at Laundry.
