On Friday in Phnom Penh find Rags to Rainbows at Craft, Cardboard Li-Fi at Courtyard Phnom Penh, Adam Marsland at The Box Office, Loopy Reggae are at Noisy Chili and Antonio & the Playful Minds at Botanico, followed by Billy Page and Phil Javelle.  Cloud celebrate their ninth anniversary with LDLP and After God, The Blue Souls are at Bat Muk Yu  and the Passion Soda duo are at Hometown Hangout .  Later on, Shake79 are at Oscar’s on the Corner and Miss Sarawan are at Uniga.In Kampot, Fishtix are at Banyan Tree.

On Saturday in Phnom Penh The Players’ Ball [see last week’s feature article Doing new things – The Players’ Ball] featuring Jazz Sauce, Japan Guitar Shop and Checkered Past is at Seekers Spirits – a pre-game party at The Deck will feature DJ Moto and a happy hour before a free party bus (for ticket holders) leaves for Seekers.  Elsewhere, Loopy Reggae are at Craft, The Lazy Drunks are at The Tin Hat, The PhnomPenhers are at Vinoteca and Lyta Ly & Adam is at Bat Muk YuCloud hosts a farewell show and EP launch for Vartey Ganiva & Timon Seibel, while Terry Magson is at Little Susie, and King Tong & Elvis Flockson are at LOLA Music Lounge.  Later on Crash Boom Bang are at Oscar’s on the Corner.  On the coast, Scott Bywater & Patrick Singeot play at the opening of an exhibition of photographs by Aurelie Fischer at Art Bar in Kep, and Nov Dana is at The Wave: Kep West.  In Siem Reap Rod Tolentino is at Good Vibes and then later Sojourner House.

On Sunday, Greg Beshers is at Villa Grange and Adam Marsland is at The Box Office, while Zakk Zoot is at The Vine and the Sunday Sundowners open mic at Tacos Kokopelli is hosted by Liam Jones.  Later on, Electric Muxu Orchestra are at Oscar’s on the Corner.  In Siem Reap, Ken Stringfellow (USA), of The Posies, is at Laundry.

Department of Things to Preview, Purchase and Vote On

Just released on Bandcamp is Indian Tales by Tired Panda, an electronic project by Andrea Rubbio of Geography of the Moon – you may have heard sets during the holiday season festivals.  “Some songs I recorded with an electric Sitar, Ableton and some pedals that I use with GOTM.  One of the songs features Mahesh Vinayakram on vocals.”     Preview and purchase link.

Roshani, a band led by Roxanne Dumont, a Swiss musician with close links to Phnom Penh, have had their song Bahor nominated for Best Swiss Video 2025 – you can watch it and vote for it here.
